Flockoi: all things Flockoi and all Bros, too.
Marcie's Party: CutDown Version
This party on San Juan Island in the summer of 2002 was a tribute to Phil Selivanoff, thrown by Marcie Gann, including Lauri Bell, Jeff Jenkins, brother John Bone, a couple of the Flockoibros, and many other silly people. It is the family cabin, refurbished in large part by Phil. Source tapes are nearly 2 hours long, but can be uploaded as well if you want! Lots of additional antics were excluded...contact@FLOCKOIBROSfor interest in more footage.

3:52 I think that was about the size choker bell that landed on my finger when my finger was on a log.Didnt do my finger any good. However I did learn you can't run a chain saw with a broken finger.
where there walks a logger
joy slop
Typical religious psycho. You can tell by how well he communicates and expresses his emotions by smoking 🚬 the filter of his cigarette.
God bless him - we shared a house in Main Beach, Surfers Paradise in early 1988.
Amazing video and series... Real loggers. I grew up doing the same in high school, then back for summers while in college. It paid for it. Hurd Logging in New Mexico...great guys that always treated me well and fair with just a handshake. Yeah there is real timber up North around Chama and Southern Colorado. Fun videos...
Oh yeah...just like at work.
No. 2 and 1 is slack haulback. 1 long is slack both.
ahh good thanks for that!
Did high lead logging at Eve River Div for MacMillan Bloedel on Vancouver Island in 1980
Surprised by this music. Is this composition of African origin or Western .music played on the Kora? I will be seeing Mr Gaskell perform in Nevada this month.
Awesomee video! great explaining what we're seeing, great clips of old history, great narrating.
great videos series! thanks for posting!

Logged for 15 years.
Damn!
Thanks for the comments on my vids!
Total respect to the loggers of any time period! Over the past 18 months, I’ve hiked nearly 2,000 miles in the Olympic Forest. Most of the miles have been on decommissioned and grown over logging roads that were blocked off decades ago. Totally amazing the physical conditions loggers worked in with potentially dangerous equipment!!
Mighty fine film. People like these made the USofA what it was. Good luck you young people.
A lot of back barr'ing going on. Musta wanted to keep his shirt clean this day.
2.8 million in steel, 3500 a day in wages, fuel, insurance, maintenance, how in the hell is there any money left in these pecker poles? Much respect to them! Nice show all the way around.
Nice footage, n8ce ground too.. Most of the time those choker setters are on ground so steep it's hard to walk. Now picture doing that in the snow and fog. Yep.
Wow, this is great. Nice product.
Wow! The real deal. Good job.
How am I just finding this now! Better late than never. Awesome! For me it was 30 miles to the crummy and we were 70 miles up river from there. Long days! Copenhagen was 30 cents a can, 1978. Huffman and Wright Logging, Canyonville OREGON.
#2…beware… in my experience when someone claims to be a “man of god” this translates to me “ I’m a two faced backstabbing hypocritical piece of shit human being.”
I personally know this man. He is definitely not what you say. He is a good honest person.
This guy has an excellent point on the reality of logging.
Hoffy could catch a break that year his second or third crash That’s me in the Trek Volkswagen kit soft-pedaling the whole time
This is back when truck driving was still fun
Fuels cheap in the US,its 1.31 a litre where.i am,4.5 litres to a gallon...
Did not Clinton start that spotted owl business?!That ole greybeard faller gets some bush down..
The media is anti-American family.
Makes me wonder if I’m still young enough to move out yonder and cut some timber?? All the hippies and libtards don’t seem to think they need pipelines welded anymore so maybe I can go do something else I’m good at??
How old are you?under 50 id say sure..
Need to get rid of the chaser on the landing if you truly want to make the site safe
Its safe anyway, way safer than it ever used to be,its hard to get a good crew now,i logged in Australia/N*Z cut tropical hardwood and native old growth bush using an 090 sthil and its all mechanized now,we trimmed with power saw and axes, operated an 009 Madill for awhile but could not handle sitting on arse all day, went back falling...
I knew that was Pattison when he got hung up. Heard that voice a few times from the back end.😀
I have been trying to find these videos for ages and knew this part was coming. I got a chuckle seeing this response, knowing others got to experience the magic I grew up with. My dad's mastery of language is second to none. By far my favorite part of this whole documentary.
Cut it, graze it, or, watch it burn. Your choice
Tf did i just watch
I see Patrick from Monex
Wow. What a human.
Even Nina Simone?!...WOW!
That was a good show thank you
My dad was a logger to
Jim's dead right. FINE job!
That 44 is ripping.
Nice guitar work Hans
That was a 056.
What size saw was he using
Stihl 044. Old school.
I love the grunts and groans this guy gives out every time he gets out of his truck, it sounds just like me! (aging tradesman)
"I guess everybody will have to wipe their ass with spotted owls". That is F...ing priceless !!!!
"A bleak future for the industry in general" ???? Really, what are people going to do? start living in sod houses again.
And start using plastic toilet paper
They saying USA is running out of timber because of climate change,i call bullshite on that!
Faller in second growth working for scale, I feel for that guy. Hard way to make a living.
Where are the women, standing around demanding equal pay ?
You threatened?
Even if they're chugging testosterone amd steroids every women I've had the breif chance to work with in the rigging have been physically incapable of doing most of the basic jobs on a tower side. A tommy moore block alone is 75 lbs, not counting the tree strap youre required to pack with it. Up muddy slopes that force you onto all fours through blackberries and devils club, onto narrow walk logs 50 60 ft above rocky shallow creeks, to trudging through neck deep snow drifts pulling 100s of feet of haywire. No one shows sympathy for the weak, hurt, or tired. it requires not only physical strength but an animalistic determination and grit to succeed no matter the bodily risk. Maybe theres a woman out there that can handle it, but id be suprised
I’ve slung riggin set chokers ran shovel an yarder cats prossors an tended hook an being a riggin slinger is the best I think
Beautifully sung, and the piano part is wonderfully played. Your voice is so rich my poor little laptop speakers can hardly handle it! Thank you for the share.
